Luis Trenker representing Italy
On May 15th 2026, during the Eurovision Song Contest, Vienna’s Rathausplatz was transformed into a stage for fashion brands from all over Europe. What made the event so special was its focus on smaller, independent labels, giving them the opportunity to present their collections to an international audience. No big Players, but plenty of big emotions.
Around 10,000 visitors attended, as designers from 12 different nations showcased their most extraordinary creations under the motto “United by Fashion”. It was an evening where fashion, music, dance and cultural diversity came together in a truly impressive way. It became clear just how powerful fashion can be in bringing people together across borders.
When Liliana Klein, the organiser of Fashion for Europe, asked us some time ago whether we would be ready to represent Italy on the runway, we did not hesitate for a second. Italy is our home and, at the same time, one of our greatest sources of inspiration. The Dolce Vita, that effortless way of life shaped by espresso, gelato and aperitivo is exactly the spirit we want to express through our fashion. That is why it was such a great honour for us to take to the runway under the colours of the Tricolore and bring a piece of authentic Italian lifestyle to Vienna.
For this very special appearance, we selected each outfit with the greatest care, always keeping one question in mind: what truly makes us stand out from the crowd - and how can we create a moment the audience will not forget?
Looking back, we can say with confidence: we are quite sure we will remain in their memories for a long time to come. Not least because our founder and CEO, Michi Klemera, personally made his way down the catwalk. And, of course, he did not do so in any ordinary way, but in true Luis Trenker style: on a Luis Trenker-branded retro bicycle. His daughter Nina, who lives and works in Vienna, was also among the models - a moment that naturally made him especially proud as a father.
This special moment on stage, accompanied by roaring applause, beautifully reflected what Fashion for Europe is all about: community, joie de vivre, togetherness and the connecting power of fashion.
We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to the organiser, Liliana Klein, whose love for the Luis Trenker brand gave us the opportunity to be part of this event and experience something truly incredible. It is above all thanks to her dedication, professionalism and commitment that Fashion for Europe became such a great success.
