- This oversized fit outdoor felt jacket with band collar is made of a warm blend of alpaca and sheep wool. It is a modern interpretation of the traditional Hofer cardigan, which was made in a very special way in Salzburg starting from the middle of the 20th century. The inherently wind-resistant function, colour-contrasting trim and elegant metallic buttons make this jacket a centrepiece of our outerwear collection.

Good to know: just like it used to be, the most important feature of these felt jackets is that the raw wool is first spun into thread, processed on manual knitting machines and then rolled. All other felt jackets are first fulled into a fabric, then cut and assembled.
Composition: 50% alpaca, 50% wool
To ensure that you can enjoy your new favourite piece for a long time, you should only wash it by hand or take it to the dry cleaners. You should also only iron it at a low temperature, do not bleach it and do not tumble dry it.

A piece of tradition: Our Luandrea
The history of the "Walk-Janker" goes back to the middle of the 20th century, where it was manufactured in Salzburg in a very special way and according to old family tradition. Then as now, the most important feature of these jackets is that the raw wool is first spun into thread, processed on hand knitting machines and then rolled. After months of rehearsals, we found the perfect blend of materials to turn the formerly rather "scratchy" jacket into a fluffy favorite. The secret: our "Walk-Janker" is only half sheep's wool, the other half is finest alpaca wool. It is the perfect outdoor jacket due to its wind- and water-repellent, as well as breathable properties.
