Welcome to Ortisei!
As the birthplace of Luis Trenker, our namesake and our most important source of inspiration, this idyllic place amidst the imposing mountain scenery of the Dolomites is of particular importance to us. In the middle of Val Gardena, which attracts travellers from all over the world, everyday worries seem far away. In the heart of Ortisei, we have fulfilled a long-cherished dream with our own store - and are keeping the legend of Luis Trenker alive.
An authentic holiday paradise
Situated in the centre of Val Gardena and surrounded by mountains, Ortisei is the ideal starting point for hikes in the Dolomites - for example to the famous postcard motif, the Seceda. Perhaps it is because of this paradisiacal location that the inhabitants of Val Gardena have always been interested in the supernatural: many families were already dedicated to woodcarving here in the 17th century, primarily making biblical figures and statues of saints. Even today, sacred carvings from Val Gardena are in demand worldwide.
Anna and Vlad
Although our store in Ortisei has only been open since July 2024, our two sales talents Anna and Vlad are already a close-knit team and complement each other perfectly. Whether you're looking for an everyday look or an outfit for a special occasion, our young and dynamic power duo will be on hand to help and advise you! In addition, Anna and Vlad will be happy to give you a few insider tips - from restaurants to hikes, they know exactly what you absolutely have to experience in Val Gardena.
Following Luis' footsteps
A holiday in Val Gardena is not just about hiking through the breathtaking mountains of the Dolomites: Take a stroll along the Luis Trenker Promenade, with a magnificent view of Ortisei and the monument to the famous mountaineer and film star! Afterwards, visit the Gherdeina Museum to admire a collection of Luis Trenker's personal memorabilia, including film scripts, posters, props, cameras and mountain equipment.
